How We Started Listening Differently
This wasn't supposed to become a company. It started as a curiosity about why some people always seemed ready.
The observation
One of our founders was a documentary filmmaker. She spent years in green rooms, backstage areas, and pre-interview holding spaces.
She noticed something: the people who performed best weren't necessarily the most prepared. They were the most calibrated.
And almost all of them had a specific sonic ritual in the twenty minutes before showtime.
The hypothesis
We partnered with neuroscientists and music theorists. Ran surveys. Conducted interviews. Analyzed playlists from 847 high-performers across different industries.
The pattern became clear: music wasn't just setting a mood. It was regulating physiology.
Heart rate variability. Cortisol suppression. Dopamine timing. The right sequence could shift someone from anxious to centered in twelve minutes.
The problem
But personal taste got in the way. People would choose songs they loved, not songs their nervous system needed.
What feels good and what performs aren't always the same thing.
We needed to remove preference from the equation.
The solution
We built vivid-tern as a bridge between research and ritual. Each collection is engineered, not curated.
We test tempo progressions. We measure key relationships. We time transitions to physiological windows.
What you hear is the result of deliberate sonic architecture, not editorial whim.
"I didn't believe it would work until I measured my HRV before and after. The data doesn't lie."

Who we serve
CEOs who speak quarterly to investors. Authors on book tours. Podcast hosts recording daily. Startup founders pitching weekly.
Anyone whose voice matters and whose presence is currency.
People who've realized that showing up isn't enough. You have to show up right.
What we believe
That preparation is a science, not a superstition.
That your pre-game matters more than your game plan.
That sound shapes state faster than thought ever could.
And that the fifteen minutes before you appear determine everything that follows.
